Welcome to Åre and the FIS Ski World Cup March 12-14, 2020!
Between 12-14 March 2020, the fastest female alpine riders from all over the world will return to Åre to fight for the podium during the Audi FIS Ski World Cup. Experience the excitement live at Sweden's Alpine National Arena in Åre and watch the skiers push themselves to the limits in search of the FIS prize.


All media accreditation is collected at the Race Office at the National Arena. Identification is required.

A photo gathering will be held on 11/3 Wednesday approx. 19.00 immediately after the Team Captain meeting at Media Centre.

An extra photo gathering will be held 12/3 Thursday 08.00 (three hours before start) at Media Centre.

We intend to offer a limited number of network cables at the photo stands.
Nikon will be on site offering camera services.

Traffic and Parking
Parking in and around the village is limited during the event. Plan for your trip well in advance and check if parking is included in your accommodations. Parking spaces will be found at Draklanda and at the VM8:an.More information on bus times and traffic updates can be found at the links below:

The Swedish National Alpine Arena is within walking distance of the Stations House and takes approx. 15 minutes (1.5km).

Traveling to
and from
Åre by:

Taking the train to Åre is both a convenient and sustainable way to travel. The train station is located right in the heart of the village and is walking distance to all arenas where the Alpine World Cup take place. Several different companies operate the route to Åre from Sundsvall, Östersund, Trondheim and more or less directly from a number of other Swedish and Norwegian cities.

Åre/Östersund Airport is the closest to Åre, 11 kilometres from central Östersund and 86 kilometres from Åre village. The website also contains a number of options for getting to/from Åre from the airport. Trondheim Airport/Vaernes (Norway) Trondheim Airport or Vaernes as it’s also called is located 135 kilometres from Åre. The estimated driving time by car is 2 hours. We offer Media Ski passes and Ski rentals throughout the World Cup week. You will get you ski pass at Race Office at Holiday Club Åre.

Don't miss our exclusive press activity Friday 13/3
This year we’re inviting you out into our beautiful ski system followed by breakfast at Svartberget. Head up in the Cable Car (Kabinbanan) and learn all about Åre together with SkiStar Destination Manager, Niclas Sjögren. Once at the top of Mt. Åreskutan, you’ll have a choice of experiencing the ski system standing on a pair of skis or sitting in a piste machine.
